Junior Civil Project Manager -
Industrial Construction Pay Rate:
$45/hour Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced Junior Civil Project Manager to support industrial and civil construction projects. This is a field-oriented project management role for someone with a strong construction background who is ready to take the next step into project management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on construction experience and the ability to coordinate field operations, subcontractors, schedules, costs, quality, and project documentation. Responsibilities Assist with planning, scheduling, and execution of civil and industrial construction projects Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field crews, and project management Monitor project progress, manpower, materials, equipment, and productivity Assist with project scheduling using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar software Track project costs, productivity, and subcontractor performance Review blueprints, construction drawings, specifications, and project documents Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and project documentation Support quality control and quality assurance procedures Identify and communicate schedule, cost, productivity, and field issues Participate in project and coordination meetings Maintain accurate project reports, schedules, and progress documentation Work closely with field supervision to keep projects on schedule Assist with inspections, punch lists, and project closeout Ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with OSHA requirements, plans, specifications, and company standards Qualifications Approximately 6 years of construction experience Experience in civil, industrial, commercial, or infrastructure construction Previous experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, Construction Coordinator, Field Engineer, Superintendent, or similar role preferred Strong understanding of construction scheduling and field operations Ability to read and understand complex industrial/civil blueprints and specifications Experience coordinating subcontractors and field crews Knowledge of cost control and productivity tracking Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar project management software OSHA 30 Forklift and aerial lift experience/certifications preferred Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as required Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who understands construction in the field and is ready to transition those skills into project management. This person should be comfortable working with superintendents and craft personnel while also managing schedules, subcontractors, project documentation, costs, and coordination with engineering and management teams.
