Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an organized and dependable Construction Project Assistant to support our Project Manager with project coordination, documentation, purchasing, cost tracking, and construction-site activities. The successful candidate will communicate with property owners, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal team members to help keep projects organized, properly documented, and on schedule. This position is suitable for someone interested in developing a career in construction project management. Key Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager with construction progress tracking and jobsite coordination. Monitor project schedules, deadlines, outstanding tasks, and material requirements. Organize contracts, quotations, construction drawings, payment applications, change orders, and meeting minutes. Communicate with property owners, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. Follow up on material purchasing, delivery schedules, shortages, and order status. Maintain accurate records of project costs, invoices, payments, and construction progress. Prepare project updates, reports, correspondence, and internal documentation. Assist with safety documentation, inspections, permits, punch lists, and project closeout records. Attend project meetings and site visits as required. Perform other project-related administrative and coordination duties assigned by the Project Manager. Qualifications Associate's or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, business administration, or a related field is preferred. Previous construction, project coordination, administrative, or purchasing experience is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office software. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple assignments and follow up on deadlines. Willingness to work in both office and construction-site environments. Ability to travel locally or for short-term project assignments when required. Bilingual English and Chinese communication skills are required. Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license if site travel is required. Preferred Skills Familiarity with construction drawings, contracts, purchase orders, and payment applications. Basic understanding of construction terminology and project workflows. Experience communicating with subcontractors and material suppliers. Experience with project-management or accounting software is a plus.
