Position Overview:
We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Assistant Field Superintendent to support our field leadership team in managing day-to-day operations across active residential job sites. In this role, you will work directly alongside our Senior Field Superintendent to ensure high-end patio, hardscape, carpentry, and outdoor living projects run safely, stay on schedule, and meet Longhorn Outdoor Living's exacting quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Supervision & Quality Control Conduct daily site visits across active project locations to monitor work progress, trade compliance, and site cleanliness. Assist in coordinating site access, material staging, and work sequencing for concrete, masonry, framing, electrical, plumbing, and flatwork crews. Inspect daily work against construction plans, specs, and quality standards to catch pre-punch items early and ensure pristine craftsmanship. Enforce job site safety standards and maintain organized, presentable job sites that reflect our luxury brand. Material Logistics & Site Preparation Confirm layout prep, track job site deliveries, verify material quantities (pavers, lumber, stone, appliances), and inspect for shipping damage. Lead punch list walkthroughs and coordinate swift resolution of outstanding items prior to final client handoff. Communication & Documentation Document daily site activity, crew attendance, weather delays, and site progress using our mobile project management software. Assist in maintaining clear communication between field crews, Senior Superintendents, Project Managers, and homeowners. Identify job site issues or design discrepancies early and work with the Superintendent and design team to execute practical solutions. Required Qualifications 2-4+ years of hands-on experience in residential outdoor living, field coordination, or hardscape/landscape installation. Familiarity with patio construction, wood/composite pergolas, outdoor kitchens, concrete flatwork, and residential site prep. Ability to read and interpret residential construction drawings, site plans, and detail drawings. Valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record and reliable transportation. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally with subs, trades, and homeowners. Proficiency using mobile apps or tablets for daily logging, photo uploads, and schedule tracking. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area and basic familiarity with local residential municipal codes and inspections. Previous hands-on experience in outdoor living, carpentry, masonry, concrete finishing, or pool construction.
Bilingual:
