Job Description

About the job The Unit/Site Lead directs and oversees the daily operations of our new site over in Somerville. In this role, you will lead the direct execution of high-impact youth programs, supervise front-line staff, ensure facility safety, and foster a vibrant, positive Club culture. You will partner closely with leadership to develop responsive programming models, engage community stakeholders and advisory members, and utilize data systems to drive positive youth development outcomes. This role will report directly to our Senior Program Manager to ensure program quality and continuity between all sites. Key Responsibilities Daily Operations & Culture Direct daily site operations, creating a safe, inclusive, and high-energy environment aligned with youth development goals. Oversee facility upkeep, equipment security, and strict adherence to health and safety standards. Implement digital behavior reinforcement tools (e.g., ClassDojo) and positive guidance frameworks to maintain a supportive Club climate. Program Delivery & Innovation Collaborate with the Senior Program Manager to design, schedule, and execute responsive academic and enrichment programming tailored to member needs. Monitor and evaluate program engagement and impact alongside organizational specialists, adapting activities to achieve measurable outcomes. Coordinate site participation in organizational initiatives, showcase events, and community activities. Team Leadership & Resource Management Recruit, supervise, and mentor site program staff and volunteers in partnership with organizational leadership. Facilitate regular site meetings, deliver ongoing coaching, and support staff professional development. Manage day-to-day site expenditures and supply ordering within approved budgetary allocations. Community & Stakeholder Engagement Serve as the primary site liaison for the local Advisory Council, participating in meetings and site visits to share progress, needs, and member success stories. Foster strong partnerships with parents and guardians through consistent communication regarding member growth, milestones, and events. Cultivate relationships with local schools, neighborhood leaders, and community organizations to expand Club reach and advocacy. Data Administration & Reporting Utilize CRM tools (Salesforce / MyClubHub) to maintain accurate records of attendance, program participation, and localized operational metrics. Compile and deliver regular, data-informed reports on attendance trends, program outcomes, and youth milestones.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience:
2-3+ years of experience in youth development, recreation, education, or community programming, including direct experience supervising staff and designing developmental activities.
Technical Skills:
Experience with CRM and attendance tracking systems (Salesforce and MyClubHub preferred) and familiarity with digital culture/behavior platforms (e.g., ClassDojo).
Communication & Leadership:
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to engage parents, community partners, and staff effectively.
Operational Acumen:
Proven ability to manage safety protocols, resolve behavior challenges constructively, and balance multiple priorities in an active environment. Compensation & How to
