A Construction Manager manages construction projects from project planning through completion. Manages project budget and schedule; works closely with architects, engineers, trades workers, and clients; supervises construction on site and manages subcontractors; coordinates permits and regulatory compliance as needed for projects.
Houston, Texas What you will be doing: Owning restaurant development projects from pre-development and design through construction and turnover to operations Coordinating architects, civil engineers, and consultants on construction plans, site due diligence, and permitting Preparing bid packages, analyzing bids, and supporting contractor selection and contract negotiation Serving as owner's representative during construction — regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and plan adherence Reviewing contractor invoices, pay applications, lien waivers, and tracking project costs Managing change orders and budget updates Running punch list inspections and closeout documentation through final turnover What you must have: 3+ years construction project management or assistant project management experience Commercial, retail, or restaurant construction background required Working understanding of construction drawings, contracts, and permitting Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Ability to travel to project sites as needed
Preferred:
QSR or retail development experience Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field Experience working directly with general contractors and subcontractors Experience with multi-unit restaurant/hospitality organizations such as
Darden Restaurants or Dave & Buster's Salary/Rate Range:
$90,000 to $130,000
