Civil Construction Superintendent Kaufman Development and Construction - 5.0 Tyler, TX Job Details Full-time $74,539 - $95,000 a year 6 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Qualifications Driver's License Supervising experience Construction industry experience Construction team management Pipeline Stakeholder management Full Job Description This position will be responsible for managing crews, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, ensuring quality workmanship, and enforcing all safety requirements. The ideal candidate is an experienced field leader who understands underground utility construction and can effectively manage multiple crews and activities on an active construction site. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily wet utility construction activities and crews. Oversee installation of water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and related underground utilities . Read and interpret construction plans, utility plans, specifications, and elevations. Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and project schedules. Coordinate equipment, materials, manpower, and subcontractors. Direct operators, laborers, pipe crews, and utility foremen. Monitor production and adjust manpower and equipment to maintain schedule. Verify proper grades, elevations, alignment, bedding, backfill, and compaction. Coordinate utility tie-ins, testing, inspections, and approvals. Communicate daily with project managers, inspectors, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors. Identify conflicts or field issues and communicate them promptly to project management. Maintain daily production reports, manpower logs, equipment reports, and project documentation. Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements. Conduct and participate in daily toolbox talks and safety meetings. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite. Monitor material usage and help control project costs. Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met. Assist with scheduling upcoming work and planning manpower and equipment needs. Perform other duties as assigned by project management.
