What You'll Do As the Field Director, you'll serve as the primary operational leader for installation crews, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities include:
Lead, coach, and develop multiple field installation crews across commercial construction projects. Travel to active job sites to provide hands-on training, quality inspections, and operational support. Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, Sales, and Operations to ensure successful project execution. Monitor employee productivity and provide coaching to improve performance and workmanship. Conduct job site quality audits and ensure installations meet company and customer expectations. Troubleshoot field challenges and develop practical solutions to keep projects moving forward. Assist crews with equipment troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and minor mechanical repairs. Coordinate weekly travel schedules and field priorities with the Division Manager. Ensure projects stay on schedule while maintaining safety, productivity, and profitability. Train new employees on installation techniques, equipment operation, and company standards. Promote a positive culture built on professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Maintain accurate field reports, documentation, and communication with leadership. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications 3+ years of leadership experience in construction, commercial contracting, or field operations. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair field equipment. Experience managing crews in commercial construction environments. Ability to read construction drawings and understand project specifications. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Comfortable working independently while supporting multiple crews. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to travel overnight 70-80% of the work week.
