Superintendent Wastewater Facilities Location:
Van Alstyne, TX About the Opportunity A growing design-build infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee field operations for water storage tank and wastewater treatment construction projects. This role is responsible for managing daily jobsite activities, coordinating subcontractors and vendors, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring projects are completed according to schedule and quality expectations. The ideal candidate will have extensive construction field experience and a strong understanding of civil, concrete, mechanical, piping, and electrical installation activities. This individual will serve as the on-site leader, working closely with project management, clients, subcontractors, and inspectors to successfully deliver municipal and industrial infrastructure projects. The company specializes in the design-build construction of glass-fused-to-steel water storage tanks and wastewater treatment facilities. Key Responsibilities Direct and supervise all daily field construction activities. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, equipment, and workforce to maintain project schedules. Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract documents. Conduct daily site inspections and quality control reviews. Lead site safety meetings and enforce OSHA and company safety requirements. Coordinate with project management to track progress, manpower, and material deliveries. Review drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure proper execution of work. Identify and resolve field issues to minimize project delays. Maintain project documentation, including daily reports, safety records, and jobsite logs. Interface with clients, engineers, inspectors, and local authorities as required. Manage jobsite logistics and ensure a clean, organized, and productive work environment. Assist with project startup, testing, and commissioning activities. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of construction supervision experience. Experience with water/wastewater infrastructure, industrial construction, utility projects, or related heavy civil construction preferred. Strong knowledge of concrete, mechanical, piping, structural, and electrical construction activities. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors. Willingness to travel periodically to project sites as needed. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
