This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful deployment of fiber networks by managing teams, coordinating construction activities, and maintaining strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, civil engineering, and project scheduling, with a passion for delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions on time and within budget. As a Fiber OSP Manager, you will drive project success through effective leadership, meticulous planning, and seamless collaboration across multiple stakeholders. Duties Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of fiber optic outside plant construction projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines. Manage construction teams on-site, providing clear direction, supervision, and support to ensure safety compliance and quality standards are met. Oversee the development and review of construction plans, blueprints, and technical specifications using tools such as Civil 3D and Bluebeam. Coordinate with project engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to facilitate smooth project flow and resolve issues promptly. Utilize project management software such as Primavera P6, Procore, Prolog, HeavyBid, and Microsoft Office to track progress, manage budgets, and generate reports. Ensure compliance with construction regulations and safety protocols while managing risks associated with large-scale infrastructure projects. Monitor project costs through detailed cost management practices; oversee contract administration and change order processes. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to construction schedules and quality standards; address any delays or obstacles proactively. Lead project meetings to communicate progress updates, coordinate schedules, and align team efforts toward shared objectives. Maintain comprehensive documentation of project activities, including daily logs, incident reports, inspection records, and regulatory compliance documentation. Qualifications Proven experience managing complex fiber optic or telecommunications outside plant construction projects in a civil or heavy civil environment. Strong knowledge of construction management software such as Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam, Prolog, HeavyBid, and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with construction estimating techniques and cost management practices for large infrastructure projects. Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced construction environment; excellent leadership skills required. Deep understanding of construction scheduling principles; experience with project schedule coordination using Primavera P6 or similar tools. Solid knowledge of construction plans reading (blueprints), contracts administration, safety regulations, and regulatory compliance standards. Excellent organizational skills with a focus on time management to meet deadlines consistently. Construction site experience with an emphasis on telecommunications or utility infrastructure is highly preferred. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels; ability to problem-solve proactively under pressure.
