Work with CEO to track and fulfill backlog and project margin goals. Oversight & development of timely & accurate estimates & proposals for all work (production rates, equipment application and rates, quantity take offs, material, and subcontractor procurement). Identify key factors in pricing strategy for each estimate (risk, fit, competition, backlog, etc.) Strong knowledge and understanding of plans, specifications & contracts (including risk). Collaborate within the organization to utilize personnel with working knowledge regarding costs, productions, means & methods etc. Participate as a member of senior leadership team and associated strategy development & portfolio management. Create and improve relationships with new and existing owners, GC's, Vendors, & Subcontractors Work with subcontractors and suppliers to find best value, including negotiating preferred pricing and service expectations. Work with project teams to analyze past project costs and production rates to improve estimating accuracy. Collaborate with appropriate team members to maintain updated labor and equipment rates. Ensure accurate and timely hand off awarded projects to project management teams. Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training & development of key talent for project teams for future growth, expansion & diversification. Generate leads, using a variety of sources. (Cold calling, networking, email, and mailer blasts.) Build effective relationships with prospects, decision makers, and clients. Act as point of contact on all accounts.
