They specialize in multifamily, hospitality, retail, private education, healthcare, interiors, etc. Job Description The Superintendent•Commercial Construction•Ashland, VA will be responsible for: Lead all on-site construction activities from project startup through completion. Enforce and maintain jobsite safety standards and compliance requirements. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspections, and daily field operations. Manage project schedules and proactively address delays or obstacles. Oversee quality control and ensure all work meets project specifications. Maintain accurate daily reports, manpower logs, progress photos, and field documentation using Procore. Review and coordinate RFIs, submittals, and field questions with project management. Track and communicate project constraints, schedule impacts, and key field decisions. Participate in owner meetings and provide detailed project status updates. Manage material deliveries, equipment needs, and site logistics. Coordinate municipal inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed. Prepare work areas for upcoming trades and maintain a clean, organized jobsite. Support successful project closeout and turnover activities. The Successful Applicant A successful Superintendent•Commercial Construction•Ashland, VA should have: Previous experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects. Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, sequencing, and jobsite management. Experience overseeing subcontractors, schedules, inspections, and quality control. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents. Proficiency with construction management software, preferably Procore. Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to build relationships on-site. Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Ability to identify and resolve field challenges while keeping projects on schedule. What's on Offer The Superintendent•Commercial Construction•Ashland, VA will receive:
Base Salary:
$70,000•$115,000 Company Truck & Gas Card Company Phone or $40/Month Phone Allowance Exceptional work/life balance with typical workweeks of 40-50 hours.
