Site Superintendent (Secret Clearance) Equiliem medical insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) United States, Virginia, Fort Belvoir Aug 13, 2026 Job Summary The Site Superintendent is a 12-week contract position responsible for overseeing and coordinating on-site construction activities in accordance with project plans, specifications, schedules, safety requirements, and quality standards. This role manages subcontractors and site personnel, monitors project progress, coordinates materials and equipment, maintains daily construction records, and serves as a primary on-site point of contact during inspections and project meetings. The position requires a strong background in federal construction, with particular emphasis on HVAC and boiler systems, along with the ability to manage changing site conditions and support projects with strict safety and security requirements. Job Responsibilities Oversee daily construction site activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project plans, specifications, and schedules. Manage site personnel and subcontractors, including work schedules, assignments, project progress, and resource allocation. Coordinate with Project Managers and other construction management personnel regarding project schedules, budgets, site activities, and operational requirements. Develop cost estimates for labor, materials, supplies, equipment, and other project-related expenses. Coordinate the delivery and availability of materials and equipment with vendors and suppliers. Develop and maintain schedules for site personnel and subcontractors. Evaluate subcontractor performance and assign work based on project requirements. Maintain accurate daily construction logs documenting site conditions, progress, subcontractor attendance, deliveries, photographs, work issues, and other relevant activities. Monitor construction progress and make operational adjustments as needed to support project deadlines. Apply cost-effective and efficient construction management practices. Attend site meetings and serve as an on-site representative during inspections and project-related inquiries. Perform quality control reviews and safety checks to ensure compliance with project and regulatory requirements. Maintain a strong focus on HVAC and boiler-related construction activities, including coordination associated with system shutdowns and cutovers. Follow established purchasing authorization procedures and obtain appropriate approval before committing project funds or making purchases. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements 5-9 years of overall construction experience, including at least 3-5 years of federal construction experience. Previous experience serving as a Site Superintendent or in a comparable construction leadership role. Strong experience with HVAC and boiler systems required. Current or recent
USACE EM 385
certification or equivalent required. Current Safety and First Aid certification required. Active Secret security clearance required. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and related project documentation. Strong knowledge of construction site safety, quality control, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and field operations. Ability to maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation. Strong organizational, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to coordinate effectively with subcontractors, vendors, project management teams, inspectors, and other project stakeholders. Ability to successfully complete required background screening and drug screening. Full-time position scheduled for approximately 40 hours per week. Standard schedule is Monday through Friday. Overtime or weekend work may be required during boiler shutdowns, system cutovers, or other project-critical activities. Regional travel may be required if the contract is extended beyond the initial 12-week term. Active Secret clearance must be maintained for site access.
