The Role:

We are looking for an Assistant Superintendent to support daily job-site execution. You will work under the direction of the Superintendent to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Field Execution:

Perform tasks like basic framing, drywall, painting, trim, doors, and cabinets per plans and supervisor direction.

Jobsite Management:

Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free site; ensure tools and materials are ready to reduce downtime.

Communication:

Coordinate clearly with subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders.

Documentation:

Complete daily check-ins and simple logs (photos/notes).

Growth:

Commit to continuous learning of construction methods and Carlton standards.

What We're Looking For:

1+ years in construction or facilities maintenance (entry-level candidates with strong aptitude will be considered). Ability to read basic plans and follow instructions. Comfort with basic smartphone-based documentation. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for Hampton Roads job sites. Physical ability to perform construction tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and using ladders.

Pay:

$20.00 - $28.00 per hour
