is a leading telecom provider/infrastructure contractor committed to building and maintaining top-tier fiber optic networks across Texas, Washington and Virginia. Our Outside Plant (OSP) projects power the future of connectivity, and we're looking for a detail-oriented OSP Construction Manager to ensure our work meets the highest standards. We're hiring a Fiber OSP Construction Manager to lead underground and aerial fiber builds across the Houston area. This role oversees field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure safe, high-quality, and on-time delivery of Outside Plant (OSP) infrastructure projects. If you're experienced in fiber construction and thrive in fast-paced field environments, we'd love to hear from you. Responsibilities Supervise field crews, subcontractors, and inspectors Coordinate daily construction activities and resources Ensure compliance with safety standards (OSHA, TXDOT, WPS, TCP) Forecast project timelines and resolve delays proactively Manage permitting and inspections with city/state officials Source and oversee local vendors and subcontractors Conduct pre
  • and post-construction inspections Investigate utility strikes and document plant damage Interpret construction drawings and guide field execution Maintain project documentation, punch lists, and closeouts Verify utility locates before construction begins Travel to job sites across the Houston area
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent 4+ years of experience managing OSP fiber construction (underground and aerial) OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Valid driver's license Strong knowledge of fiber splicing, make-ready, lashing, guying, and strand placement Familiarity with permitting, traffic control plans, and pipeline/railroad crossings Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Earth or ARCGIS Excellent communication and time management skills Preferred but not required: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field Recent experience (within 1 year) as a Fiber OSP Construction Manager Experience with GIS tools and estimating OSP infrastructure projects Traffic safety certifications Work Environment Field-based at construction sites throughout Houston Office-based as needed for planning and reporting Outdoor work in various weather conditions, driving long distances, and lifting moderately heavy equipment Benefits
