Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Assistant Superintendent to support our project superintendent in managing daily on-site operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in construction, a willingness to perform some physical labor, and strong skills in quality control, site cleanliness, and safety compliance. This role requires computer proficiency, specifically in email communication, Excel, and Bluebeam, as well as the ability to read plans and project schedules. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth for someone enthusiastic, driven, and eager to develop their construction management skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the Superintendent in overseeing and coordinating daily site activities. Perform physical labor tasks and maintain cleanliness and organization on-site. Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure high standards. Provide guidance, training, and oversight to other laborers. Use computer software such as Excel and Bluebeam for documentation, tracking, and project management. Communicate effectively via email with project team members, subcontractors, and clients. Interpret construction plans, specifications, and schedules accurately. Support safety compliance, helping implement and enforce site safety protocols. Respond to and resolve on-site questions and issues promptly.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Proven experience in construction, ideally in a labor foreman or assistant superintendent role. Proficiency with computer tools including Microsoft Excel, Outlook (email), and Bluebeam. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and schedules. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude. Commitment to maintaining high safety standards on-site. Desire for professional growth within the construction industry. Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor as required.
