Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking an experienced Installation Lead for long-term opportunities supporting the installation of industrial paint booth systems at customer facilities throughout the United States. The Installation Lead will direct field crews, coordinate daily installation activities, maintain a safe and productive job site, troubleshoot field conditions, and serve as the primary on-site representative throughout each project. This is a travel-intensive position requiring approximately 70-90% nationwide travel, with individual project assignments typically lasting 2-6 weeks. An East Coast home base is preferred but not required. Work schedules will vary by project and may range from standard 40-hour weeks to 12-hour shifts during active installations.

DOE Installation Lead Responsibilities:
Lead field installation crews at customer sites throughout the United States. Install industrial paint booths and related mechanical systems according to engineering drawings, project specifications, and established standards. Plan, organize, and coordinate daily field activities to maintain project schedules and completion dates. Coordinate with project leadership regarding scope, scheduling, staffing, milestones, and field conditions. Direct crew activities and maintain accountability for productivity, workmanship, safety, and project expectations. Read and interpret engineering drawings, layouts, mechanical details, and installation documentation. Troubleshoot field conditions, installation conflicts, and unexpected site issues. Coordinate with Engineering, Production, and project leadership to resolve discrepancies or technical concerns. Verify completed installations meet quality standards, project specifications, and customer requirements. Maintain a safe job site and enforce applicable OSHA requirements and company safety policies. Conduct daily safety briefings and ensure proper use of PPE and safe work practices. Identify and address job-site hazards and promptly report incidents, near misses, and safety concerns. Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for customers throughout installation projects. Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, inspectors, subcontractors, and internal project teams. Provide clear updates regarding project progress, schedule, scope, and potential delays. Coordinate temporary lodging and other field logistics during extended project assignments.
Installation Lead Qualifications:
Previous experience leading field installation, construction, mechanical assembly, industrial equipment installation, or similar crews. Strong hands-on construction and mechanical installation experience. Demonstrated ability to lead crews and maintain productivity, quality, and safety expectations in the field. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and mechanical details. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve installation and field-condition issues as they arise. Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and job-site safety practices. Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to represent the company professionally at customer facilities. Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions while coordinating with off-site project leadership. Willingness and ability to travel approximately 70-90% throughout the United States. Ability to remain on assignment at customer sites for approximately 2-6 weeks at a time. Flexibility to work varying schedules based on project demands, including 12-hour days when required. East Coast home base preferred, but candidates located elsewhere may be considered.
