Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Adult Living Coordinator to lead and support our Direct Support Professional (DSP) teams. This position combines hands-on involvement with team leadership and program coordination, making it a great opportunity for someone who enjoys developing others while staying connected to the people we support. As an Adult Living Coordinator, you will oversee day-to-day services within our Adult Family Homes and Supported Living programs while helping create welcoming, safe, and empowering environments where the people we support can build skills, make choices, participate in their communities, and live as independently as possible. What You'll Do Support Meaningful, Independent Living Coordinate day-to-day supports and services provided within home settings. Encourage active participation and skill development in everyday activities such as meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, personal care, and other aspects of home life. Promote autonomy, personal choice, self-expression, and individual decision-making. Encourage meaningful involvement with neighbors and the surrounding community. Help coordinate activities, appointments, and transportation. Ensure homes and surrounding outdoor areas are welcoming, clean, personal, and safe. Support the development and implementation of Individual Service Plans. Ensure services are accurately and promptly documented. Maintain positive communication with families, guardians, care teams, and other supporters. Build and maintain positive relationships with neighbors and community partners. Collaborate with other Balance teams and service providers to support excellent daily operations and further our mission. Lead & Develop a Great Team A major part of this role is helping our DSPs succeed. You'll have the opportunity to coach, mentor, and develop team members while creating a positive and supportive work environment. Participate in hiring and onboarding new DSPs. Supervise, train, coach, and develop assigned team members. Model respectful, inclusive, and empowering communication. Provide ongoing feedback and performance management. Ensure DSPs complete required hands-on and computer-based training. Help team members develop proficiency in daily program operations, individualized supports, documentation, and approved behavioral support strategies. Provide direct guidance and support during behavioral interventions when needed. Manage staff schedules, approve timecards, and respond to PTO requests. Keep team members informed of important organizational information. Hold regular meetings and check-ins with staff. Support quality and compliance expectations across programs. Provide direct support when necessary to ensure the needs of the people we serve are met. Help Keep Our Programs Running Smoothly Manage day-to-day program needs, including grocery and household supply purchasing. Coordinate participant activity and program budgets with leadership. Provide necessary billing and budget information. Identify and report home, vehicle, equipment, and other safety concerns. Help ensure staffing and services meet individualized plans, contracts, and applicable state and federal requirements.
