Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Underground Fiber Supervisor to lead the installation and management of underground fiber optic cable projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee construction activities, coordinate teams, and ensure the successful delivery of complex fiber infrastructure projects. As a key leader on-site, you will drive safety, quality, and efficiency while managing multiple crews and subcontractors. Your expertise in construction management, technical drawings, and safety regulations will be essential to meet project goals and uphold industry standards. Duties Supervise underground fiber optic cable installation teams, ensuring adherence to project schedules, safety protocols, and quality standards. Coordinate construction schedules using our technology to optimize resource allocation and project timelines. Review blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to verify installation procedures and ensure compliance with design specifications. Manage daily site operations, including supervising crews, managing subcontractors, and overseeing equipment used for testing. Enforce federal construction safety regulations (OSHA) and company safety policies to maintain a safe work environment at all times. Interpret technical drawings and schematics for accurate trenching, conduit placement, and fiber splicing activities. Conduct quality control inspections and ensure construction work meets contractual requirements and industry standards. Maintain detailed documentation of project progress, change orders, contracts, and safety reports using construction management software. Collaborate with project managers on scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning to keep projects on track. Lead team meetings to communicate daily objectives, safety updates, and project milestones effectively. Skills Extensive experience in construction site management with a focus on underground fiber optic projects. Proficiency in construction management software Strong knowledge of construction regulations including OSHA standards and federal safety requirements. Skilled in blueprint reading, interpreting schematics, and technical drawings related to fiber infrastructure. Proven ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced construction environment while maintaining high safety standards. Expertise in construction scheduling, project coordination, budgeting, and cost estimating. Excellent managerial communication skills for supervising crews and coordinating with stakeholders. Hands-on experience with construction safety management practices specific to underground utility installation. Ability to operate testing equipment such as ohmmeters for fiber continuity verification. Familiarity with managing contracts and overseeing compliance with construction regulations for commercial projects. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
