How you will contribute:

This is a great opportunity to leverage your fire sprinkler design expertise and could be a steppingstone into upper-level management. As the Assistant Fire Protection Design Manager with Ahern's National team, you will split your time between being responsible for quality control of the design team outputs and as well as providing design team assistance, this may include having 1-2 direct reports. You will ensure fabrication documents focus on fitter-friendly design, are code and project compliant, and abide by Ahern's standards. This position will provide technical assistance, mentoring and training to designers that will promote efficiency and consistency. You will work with the Design Manager and organization leaders closely to ensure optimal delivery of design and gain an understanding of design management.

What you need to qualify:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of prior relevant experience working with fire sprinkler design and demonstrate a complete understanding of construction processes and the project life cycle. You can stand out above other candidates by demonstrating the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment while also showing the desire to lead, mentor and deliver quality work.
