Build Arizona's Future. Inspect. Test. Make an Impact. Quality Testing, LLC (QT) is seeking certified Field Inspector/Testers to support transportation, commercial, municipal, and heavy-civil construction projects throughout Arizona.
Pay Range:
$22.00-$38.00 per hour

To be considered for this position, applicants must currently hold both an active ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician—Grade I certification and an applicable active ATTI certification. This position combines construction inspection and construction materials testing . Field Inspector/Testers inspect construction activities, test construction materials, document project progress, and collaborate with engineers, contractors, and project managers to help ensure each project is completed safely and according to specifications. Our Field Inspector/Testers play an important role in verifying the quality of construction materials and helping ensure projects meet applicable plans, specifications, and standards. Responsibilities may include:
Inspecting construction activities for compliance with project plans, specifications, and applicable standards Performing field testing of concrete, soil, asphalt, aggregate, and other construction materials Observing concrete placement, asphalt paving, earthwork, grading, utilities, drainage systems, and structural construction Inspecting sidewalks, ADA improvements, curb and gutter, and other civil construction features Collecting material samples and performing required field or laboratory testing Recording construction progress, quantities, materials, and daily field activities Preparing clear, accurate, and timely inspection and testing reports Identifying construction deficiencies and communicating findings to engineers, contractors, and project managers Operating field-testing equipment and maintaining required equipment and calibration records Following company, project, and client safety requirements Traveling to construction projects throughout Arizona as needed Required Certifications To be considered, candidates must currently hold both of the following: Active ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician—Grade I certification Active ATTI certification applicable to soil, asphalt, aggregate, or another relevant testing discipline Applicants must provide the name and expiration date of each certification during the application process. Additional certifications that may strengthen a candidate's qualifications include: ICC certifications NICET certifications OSHA 10 or
OSHA 30 ADOT
inspection certifications ATSSA traffic-control certifications Other applicable construction inspection or materials-testing certifications Required Qualifications Relevant construction inspection, materials-testing, engineering technician, or field-testing experience Experience testing or inspecting concrete, soil, asphalt, aggregate, or other construction materials Knowledge of applicable testing procedures, specifications, and documentation requirements Ability to read and interpret construction plans, engineering drawings, and project specifications Ability to operate field-testing equipment properly and safely Ability to prepare accurate inspection reports and testing documentation Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently while collaborating with engineers, contractors, and project teams Ability to safely navigate active construction sites and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Willingness to travel throughout Arizona Valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company standards Schedule and Travel Requirements This is a full-time field position. Work schedules may vary based on project requirements and may include days, nights, weekends, overtime, or extended shifts. Travel to project sites throughout Arizona is required. Some assignments may require overnight stays or extended travel depending on project location and duration. For eligible assignments, QT provides a company vehicle and per diem .
