ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

As a Night Shift Field Engineer, you'll play a critical role in supporting some of our most complex projects through layout verification, quality control, documentation, and project coordination. You'll work closely with superintendents, project managers, trade partners, and self-perform crews to ensure work is installed correctly and progressing according to plan. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, comfort with construction technology and field equipment, and a willingness to take ownership of project outcomes. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY

Field Engineering & Layout Perform surveying and layout activities using GPS, total stations, levels, and other field technology. Verify formwork, embeds, elevations, and critical dimensions before concrete placement and installation activities. Support field teams by interpreting drawings, specifications, BIM models, and construction documents. Documentation & Quality Control Maintain accurate daily reports, quality control documentation, checklists, and project records. Support submittal, RFI, change order, and drawing management processes. Assist with project quality control efforts to ensure work is installed according to project requirements. Utilize Procore and other construction management platforms to maintain project documentation and communication. Project Coordination Collaborate with superintendents, project managers, field teams, and subcontractors to coordinate project activities. Gather quantities and field information to support cost reporting and project tracking. Participate in project meetings and communicate field updates, challenges, and progress to project stakeholders. Help ensure alignment between field execution, project schedules, and project objectives.

YOU'RE READY FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 0-4 years of commercial construction experience in field engineering, project engineering, or related roles. Experience utilizing construction technology, layout equipment, and construction management software. Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and BIM models. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with Procore or similar construction management platforms preferred. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and written communication abilities. Ability to work night shift hours and maintain a consistent site presence.
