We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Welding Inspector (Certified Welding Inspector - CWI) to ensure the integrity, safety, and compliance of welding activities across various construction projects. In this role, you will oversee welding operations on-site, verify adherence to technical standards, and enforce quality control measures. Your expertise will help maintain the highest standards in public infrastructure construction projects, ensuring all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and contractual specifications. Duties Conduct thorough inspections of welds on pipelines, structural steel, and other critical components to verify compliance with project specifications and welding codes. Review and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to assess welding procedures and materials used. Perform quality control checks during various stages of construction site activities, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and construction regulations. Document inspection findings accurately through detailed reports, photographs, and data collection logs for record-keeping and project documentation. Collaborate with construction management teams to address non-conformances promptly and recommend corrective actions to maintain project timelines. Analyze building code compliance and conduct public works construction inspections to verify that all work meets regulatory standards. Participate in safety meetings and promote a culture of safety awareness on construction sites while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for report writing, data analysis, and documentation purposes. Extensive experience working on construction sites within civil infrastructure or public works projects. Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, building code analysis, and blueprint reading. Knowledge of construction regulations, quality inspection procedures, and construction regulatory compliance standards. Skilled in performing construction quality inspections and site inspections with attention to detail. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and assess welds against engineering requirements. Excellent analysis skills for evaluating weld quality, materials, and adherence to safety regulations. Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including contractors, engineers, and inspectors.
