The CEI Senior Inspector performs highly complex construction engineering inspection (CEI) duties for roadway and bridge projects. This position is responsible for overseeing construction activities, ensuring compliance with contract documents, applicable standards, and specifications, and coordinating the work of lower-level inspectors under the general supervision of the Project Administrator.Compensation & Schedule Pay Rate:
$28-$40 per hour, depending on experienceHours:
Full-time, 40 hours per weekWork Location:
Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach County Education & Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of four (4) years of Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) experience in roadway and/or bridge construction Prior experience with FDOT-funded or State/Federal Aid construction projects Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and engineering computations Ability to manage multiple inspection activities in a fast-paced construction environmentQualifications:
CTQP Final Estimates Level I CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges) CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level II CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level II CTQP Pile Driving Inspection CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection Required for inspection of all drilled shafts, including miscellaneous structures such as sign structures, lighting structures, and traffic signal structure foundations FDOT Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I Nuclear Radiation Safety Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program forInspectors and Contractors' Key Responsibilities:
