PPE required - hard hat, safety boots, high-visibility vest, etc. Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to provide field inspection and construction oversight across multiple project locations. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, safety requirements, quality control, and field documentation. Key Responsibilities Perform daily field inspections and construction oversight. Monitor contractor activities for compliance with drawings, specifications, safety requirements, schedules, and quality standards. Prepare detailed daily reports and photo documentation. Verify contractor manpower, equipment, materials, and quantities. Monitor work progress and identify/document deficiencies and potential issues. Review work against approved drawings and specifications. Witness testing and inspections as required. Assist with quantity verification and payment documentation. Participate in field meetings and coordinate with contractors and project stakeholders. Monitor safety requirements and immediately report significant safety, quality, schedule, or constructability concerns. Travel between multiple project locations as required. Required Qualifications 5+ years of construction inspection experience , preferably involving railroad, transit, station, or public infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, safety requirements, and quality control. Strong written and verbal communication skills. OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification required. Valid driver's license and ability to travel between multiple locations. Ability to obtain and maintain required site-specific safety and access training. Preferred Experience Railroad, transit, or public infrastructure construction. Station rehabilitation and general civil construction. Structural steel/stairs, concrete, roofing, and architectural work. Experience working adjacent to active railroad operations. Familiarity with railroad access and safety requirements. Pay:
