This Opportunity :

We have immediate full-time career opportunities for ICC Special Inspectors in our Albuquerque, NM office. Certerra offers on-going training and the ability to gain valuable career experience and technical certifications. The ideal candidate will have experience performing construction testing and inspection of soil, concrete, masonry, structural steel and/or spray-applied fireproofing. Essential Functions On site observations/inspections to confirm compliance with local building codes and project contract documents Collecting samples Performing specific QA/QC tests on construction materials and building components per ASTM, ACI, etc. standards Compiling detailed records of observations, inspections, and test results Work is generally performed unsupervised (i.e., employee is in the field as the Company's representative) but under the direction of a Professional Engineer or Project Manager.

Desired Qualifications, Experience, and Education:
  • ICC certifications in at least one of the following areas - Soils, Structural Concrete, Post-Tension/ Reinforced Concrete, Masonry, Fireproofing
  • ACI Field Grade 1/ NAQTC
  • 2+ years' experience performing multi-discipline special inspections & tests
  • The ability to read and comprehend plans & specifications
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
