- The starting hourly pay for this position is $38.50
- $55.00. The selected candidate for this position will start at the beginning of the salary range, no exceptions. Existing employees will receive increases as outlined by their bargaining agreement. Work Schedule
- This position is scheduled to work 4 days per week, 9 hours per day (36 hours per week), Monday
- Thursday or Tuesday
- Friday 8 am
- 6 pm.
THE ROLE
Inspects commercial building construction, renovation in progress and upon completion to verify continuous compliance with approved plans, specifications, applicable codes, ordinances and regulations. Performs inspections, investigates and analyzes problems and recommends solutions for more complex systems and construction; resolves issues relating to code compliance. Employees perform duties which include inspections of commercial buildings in all four areas of construction: structure, electrical, mechanical and plumbing. Employees assume a high level of responsibility and are required to be fully trained in all procedures related to their assigned area. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. Three years of experience as a Building, Electrical, Mechanical or Plumbing Inspector. Licenses and Certifications Possession of International Code Council (ICC) certification in all four inspection areas (building, electrical, mechanical and plumbing) or ICC Combination Inspector from Legacy Codes. Must possess a valid state driver's license and maintain satisfactory motor vehicle record and ability to obtain appropriate Nevada state driver's license within required time frame.SELECTION PROCESS
