Construction Inspector James J. Hahn Engineering, P.C. is seeking an experienced Construction Inspector to join our civil and environmental engineering team. This full-time position involves field inspection and documentation for municipal infrastructure projects throughout Westchester and Putnam Counties, NY , including roadway, sidewalk, drainage, and stormwater improvements. Responsibilities Inspect roadway resurfacing, reconstruction, sidewalks, curbs, drainage, and stormwater improvements Observe construction for conformance with project plans and specifications Monitor contractor progress and document daily field activity Prepare daily inspection reports and site documentation Photograph site conditions and construction progress Measure and track construction quantities Review contractor work against plans and specifications Identify field conditions or issues requiring review by the project engineer Communicate directly with contractors in the field Review or verify contractor pay quantities Support additional municipal infrastructure projects as needed Qualifications Familiarity with municipal or public infrastructure construction preferred Strong attention to detail Clear written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain accurate field documentation Ability to work independently at active construction sites Ability to travel between project locations Valid driver's license Local candidates preferred Position Details Full-time, 40 hours per week Primary work area: Westchester and Putnam Counties, NY Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Paid holidays Sick time Retirement plan About James J.
