Road To Finish, LLC (RTF) is seeking an experienced Senior Project Inspector to support construction administration and inspection activities along the Ohio Turnpike corridor in Northeast Ohio. We are specifically interested in candidates with previous Ohio Turnpike & Infrastructure Commission (OTIC) construction inspection experience and a strong background in bridge and/or heavy-highway construction. Responsibilities Perform field inspections and observations for bridge and heavy-highway construction activities. Monitor construction activities for compliance with project plans, specifications, standards, and contract requirements. Prepare and maintain accurate daily inspection reports, field records, quantities, and supporting documentation. Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and applicable standards. Perform and/or observe material sampling and field testing as required. Document construction progress, field conditions, and contractor activities. Identify field issues and coordinate with project management personnel regarding potential solutions. Communicate effectively with engineers, contractors, project management staff, and other inspection personnel. Perform other construction inspection duties as required by project needs. Qualifications Previous construction inspection experience. Previous Ohio Turnpike/OTIC inspection experience is strongly preferred. Bridge and/or heavy-highway construction inspection experience. Familiarity with Ohio Turnpike and ODOT construction procedures, specifications, and documentation. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications. Proficiency with electronic field documentation and related technology. Valid driver's license. Ability to work in varying field and weather conditions. Desired Certifications & Prequalifications ODOT Prequalified Project Inspector ODOT Prequalified Project Structure Inspector NICET Highway Construction Level I or II ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I Ohio Aggregate Technician ODOT Flexible Pavement ODOT Traffic Work Zone Safety ODOT Advanced Structures Education One or more of the following is preferred: High school diploma or GED with applicable NICET Highway Construction certification or relevant inspection experience. Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field. Work Location Northeast Ohio - Ohio Turnpike Corridor This is an in-person, field-based position. Candidates must be able to report to project locations along the Ohio Turnpike as required.
