Full-Time About the Role We are seeking a mid-level Building Envelope / Field Consultant to join our growing team. This role is ideal for professionals with 3-8 years of experience who are comfortable working both in the field and with construction documents. The position involves a mix of on-site construction observation and technical review during the design phase, supporting a wide range of commercial projects. Key Responsibilities Perform field inspections of building envelope systems, including roofing, waterproofing, facades, and glazing Conduct site visits on active construction projects (including roofs, scaffolding, and lifts) Review construction documents including plans, details, and specifications Provide quality assurance / quality control (QA/QC) observations and reporting Communicate effectively with contractors, architects, and project stakeholders Prepare clear, detailed written reports Work independently while managing multiple projects Qualifications 3-8 years of relevant experience in construction, consulting, or inspection roles Strong understanding of building envelope systems and construction practices Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents Experience in commercial construction environments preferred Comfortable working in the field in varying site and weather conditions Strong attention to detail and communication skills Ability to work independently and proactively Preferred Backgrounds Candidates with experience in the following areas are encouraged to apply: Building envelope / enclosure consulting Commissioning, QA/QC, or inspection services Commercial construction (Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, Superintendent, Inspector, QC roles) Roofing, waterproofing, glazing, or facade contracting Architecture or architectural engineering Civil, structural, or construction engineering Special inspections or materials testing Manufacturer representatives for exterior building systems Experience with consulting firms, testing agencies, or large general contractors is highly valued.
