Job Description
This Opportunity WSP is currently seeking Senior Construction Inspectors for the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel Expansion Project. This position will be responsible for overseeing construction activities on this high profile multi-billion dollar project, which is the largest project in VDOT history. Be involved in projects with our Hampton Roads Construction Management Team and be part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges.

Responsible for construction oversight of your specific discipline, inspections, reviews, and audits of the construction work.Tasks may include:
Provide construction inspections and audits Observes and documents QC/QA activities to verify compliance with the Quality Management Plan Performs Hold Point inspections and Independent Verification inspections and tests Focus on quality, construction, and production issues at multiple locations Track and document quality, construction, and schedule issues and assist with issues resolution Assist with tracking and documenting contract quantities, changes, and delays Conduct and document observations on construction as it progresses, including knowledge of construction materials, testing, methods, and processesWho You Are Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma Minimum of 5 years of relevant post education experience in construction oversight and inspection of heavy civil, bridge, roadway, tunnel, ITS, building structures, and electrical and mechanical systems. Knowledge of construction means, methods, techniques, and inspection practices Essential professional licensure/certification(s) such as ACI, NICET, and VDOT certifications Valid state driver's license Able to work night shifts and weekends as necessary to observe construction activities Able to read and interpret plans, specifications, and quality processesPreferred Qualifications:
College Degree Experience in similar roles on complex infrastructure projects using the design-build delivery method Must successfully complete and pass WSP's Motor Vehicle screening. This role is subject to a client-mandated background check and finger printing.
