Job Description
Required :
Knowledge of County land development practices and procedures. High School Diploma or GED Two years of experience as a Permit Technician Two years of customer service experience Two years customer service in an administrative/office support position within a public environment Federal, state, and local laws, rules, codes, and regulations related to the fields of land development and stormwater management.Valid Driver's License:

Must have an acceptable driving recordPreferred :
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate or working towards obtaining certification Prior experience in construction or project management Experience in the public sector and with intergovernmental or inter-agency agreements is preferred. These skills and abilities typically are acquired through a combination of experience and training. Experience may be substituted for education.Working Conditions:
The work of the position is carried out in an office environment sitting at a desk or workstation with desktop computer and standing or sitting at a public service counter. Occasional lifting of office paper supplies may be performed but is voluntary and incidental to the position's purpose. Travel is not required as a normal part of the job.Physical Requirements:
