TheConstruction Engineering Services Practice is seeking a Construction Inspectorin Kennewick, Pasco, or Richland, WA (Tri-Cities). In thisposition,you will provideon-site constructioninspectionsand applicable documentation for transportation projects. This includes observation of construction work activities for compliance with plans and specifications, preparation of required contract documentation, and following prescribed Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures consistent with State and Local guidelines.
What You'll Do Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate, perform, andmonitor constructionworkactivitiesinthe field. Inspect,observe,andensure thata construction project is constructed inaccordance with contract plans and specifications. Maintainaccuratedaily records (Inspector's Daily Reports,IDRs) of the work(labor, equipment,materialson hand, quantities, etc.). Identifycontract changes andassistin preparation of change orders. Communicate effectively with the Contractors, Owners, Construction Manager,Project Documentation Engineer, or other field engineering staff. Prepare field note records (FNRs)for documenting work completedforprogress payments. Coordinate for required materials sampling and testing.
What You Bring Required Qualifications:
At least 5 years of construction inspection experience working on largeroadways,bridges,and highway projects Basic computer skills inMS Word and MS Excel Ability to work effectively with client representatives, contractors, the public,as well as peersand subordinates Excellent skills in working independentlyin the field The successful candidate must be able to effectively multitask and prioritizeand track construction issuesthroughcompletion Clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
