Construction Management Full Job Description Job Responsibilities:
Including but not limited to civil/structural inspector, building inspector, electrical inspector, mechanical inspector, utility inspector, safety and security representative, roofing and building inspector, etc. Understand and verify Contractor conformance to all Contract Documents, submittals, RFIs, and applicable codes and design standards. Inspect on-site construction activities for conformance with Contract Documents, submittals, RFIs, and applicable codes and design standards according to the approved Staffing Plan. Prioritize inspection coverage in coordination with Sound Transit CM representatives. Communicate any non-conforming work identified in field to RE and IQAM for resolution and document in IDR. Inspects civil sitework and pavement construction along the guideway corridor General civil inspection of guideway substructure and superstructure construction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspect guideway civil construction for contract compliance Document daily inspection reports
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years heavy-civil inspection experience/5+ years civil/pavement inspection experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred. Experience in heavy civil, transportation, rail, or transit infrastructure projects preferred.
REQUIRED / PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS WAQTC
certification preferred
Pay:
$71.50 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 45.0 per week Application Question(s): How many years of experience do you have inspecting heavy-civil, transportation, rail, or transit infrastructure projects? Have you inspected civil construction activities for compliance with contract documents, drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and applicable codes/standards? Do you have experience identifying and documenting non-conforming work in the field and reporting it to the Resident Engineer/Construction Manager? Do you hold a WAQTC certification?
