Job Description

Mountain Ltd. has an opening for an OSP Assessor in WV. Job Description This position is responsible for conducting field audits to ensure Frontier contractors deployed proper engineering SPECs during OSP Construction. The FTTH Field Engineering Assessor ensures project compliance with State, local, and company requirements while working within the public ROW or utility easement. This position requires strong teamwork with the Construction Supervisor, Technicians, as well as the OSP Engineer. This position could also support other duties assigned by the Manager or Director of Engineering. Having a working knowledge with Microsoft Suite is also a need for this role.
Responsibilities:
  • Assessing all construction environments post construction on FTTH projects. (Aerial, Buried, and UG)
  • Ability to recognize placement of plant that does not adhere to the client's deployment standards, and practices.
  • Ability to identify safety concerns/quality concerns post construction and chronicle with photographs.
Required Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of OSP Engineering, Construction Standards, and Practices. This individual needs to be able to review a completed engineering print, and decipher what is on the print VS what is placed in the field.
  • Strong knowledge of State, Local, and Company standards for Safety
  • Familiarity with the National Electric Safety Code
  • Physical requirements include the ability to work outdoors in inclement weather, extended driving, and lifting and carrying of moderately heavy objects
  • Overnight travel may occasionally be required
