The successful candidate must be NCCCO certified and have experience operating 65-ton rough terrain telescopic hydraulic cranes and 80-150 ton crawler-type lattice boom Link-Belt cranes. Responsibilities Inspect the worksite and crane prior to daily operation Safely operate cranes in the 65-150 ton capacity range Hoist and transport machinery, equipment, concrete, piping, and other construction materials Fly 3-cubic-yard concrete buckets to crews working on walls and elevated deck slabs Properly receive and respond to standard crane hand signals Monitor equipment for safety concerns, defects, and mechanical issues Perform required daily and monthly crane inspections Work closely with field crews, foremen, and superintendents to safely complete lifting operations Follow all company and jobsite safety requirements Requirements Current NCCCO Crane Operator Certification Previous crane operating experience Experience operating rough terrain and crawler-type cranes preferred Valid driver#39;s license Strong understanding of safe crane operation and jobsite safety Good eyesight, coordination, dexterity, and balance Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and construction conditions High school diploma or equivalent preferred Willingness to properly operate, inspect, and maintain equipment What We Offer Highly competitive pay based on experience and skill set Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) 401(k) Retirement Plan Health, Dental, Life, and Short-Term Disability Insurance Paid Vacation Paid Holidays Opportunities for training and advancement State Utility Contractors is a 100% employee-owned heavy civil contractor serving communities throughout North and South Carolina.
