Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious Boom Operator/Crane Operator to join our crane and boom company team. In this vital role, you will operate various types of lifting and material handling equipment, including cranes, boom trucks, forklifts, to facilitate efficient construction workflows. Your expertise in crane operation, rigging, and load handling procedures will ensure that materials are moved safely and precisely across the job site. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects while adhering to strict safety standards and regulations. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe construction environment. Duties Operate cranes, boom trucks, forklifts, and other heavy equipment with precision and adherence to load handling procedures in crane operations Safely lift, move, and position materials and equipment on construction sites using appropriate rigging and load securing methods Conduct pre-operation inspections of all lifting equipment to ensure safety equipment is functional and safety protocols are followed Follow OSHA safety standards and construction workplace safety regulations at all times during operations Coordinate with team members to plan lifting sequences and ensure smooth workflow across the site Secure loads properly using rigging techniques to prevent shifting or falling during transport or lifting Maintain detailed records of equipment inspections, load logs, and safety compliance documentation Qualifications Proven experience operating cranes (overhead cranes preferred), boom trucks, forklifts, excavators, backhoes, and other heavy machinery in a construction environment Strong mechanical knowledge of hydraulics, lifting equipment, and materials handling systems Knowledge of load handling procedures in crane operations and rigging methods for safe load securing Valid commercial driver's license with a clean driving record for operating heavy-duty vehicles on-site and off-site if required Familiarity with construction site safety regulations including OSHA standards and implementation of safety protocols Ability to perform routine maintenance checks on hydraulic systems and heavy equipment Prior experience working in warehouse settings or shipping & receiving environments is a plus Join our team where safety meets skill!
