Crane Operator -
Mobile Crane Pay:
$51.21 - $58.71 per hour
Job Type:
Full Time Overview The client is seeking a Crane Operator to perform high-tonnage precision lifts across commercial and industrial job sites. You will operate modern mobile cranes to move heavy machinery, steel, and industrial components while working closely with riggers and ironworkers. Benefits Competitive union pay rate structure with annual bonus opportunities Comprehensive union benefits package through the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Weekly pay with consistent access to overtime potential Complete safety equipment and protective gear provided Professional growth opportunities through exposure to diverse and complex lifting projects Qualifications Valid New York State Class A (Unrestricted) Crane Operator Certificate of Competence Active CCO or NCCCO Certification Active OSHA 10 certification Minimum 3 years of practical experience operating and maintaining conventional mobile cranes Union membership in IUOE or immediate willingness to join upon hire Strong knowledge of standard crane hand signals, spatial geometry, and computerized load management systems Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and maintaining hydraulic and mechanical systems preferred Prior experience with heavy equipment sets on commercial and industrial construction sites preferred Key Responsibilities Operate mobile cranes to safely lift, move, and position heavy machinery, steel, and industrial components Inspect ground stability and install outrigger pads with timber blocking or steel plates Verify load capacities against wind speeds, weather parameters, and crane capacity charts Perform pre-operational checks of crane controls, instruments, gauges, and safety devices Monitor job site surroundings for hazards, including overhead power lines Coordinate with ground riggers and ironworkers using standard hand signals and radio communications Conduct routine inspections and cable assessments Perform minor mechanical maintenance to maintain crane integrity Apply today to be considered for the Crane Operator opportunity with the client and put your mobile crane operating experience to work on commercial and industrial projects.
