Duties/Responsibilities:
•Operate hydraulic truck cranes, rough terrain cranes, crawler cranes, and other lifting equipment as assigned. Operate cranes (e.g., mobile or overhead cranes) to lift, transport, and place materials safely and accurately. Inspect and maintain equipment, performing routine checks to ensure safety and operational efficiency. Collaborate with team members, including riggers and signal personnel, to ensure smooth workflow and proper communication. Follow all company policies and local regulations to ensure the safety of the worksite and compliance with industry standards. Interpret load charts and assess load weights to determine safe operational limits. Respond to and address any operational issues or challenges promptly. Comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 3+ years' experience operating heavy machinery, preferably cranes. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. NCCCO Crane Operator Certification Ability to read and interpret load charts, lift plans, and safety documentation. Knowledge of crane operating principles and safe lifting practices. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must be able to read, speak, and understand English. Preferred Qualifications Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B. OSHA 10-Hour or OSHA 30-Hour certification. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, climb, balance, kneel, and crouch for extended periods. Ability to climb ladders and access crane cabs safely. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Visual acuity sufficient to safely monitor loads, personnel, and equipment operation. Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and travel as business needs require. Work Environment Work is performed in a standard construction environment with prolonged periods of standing, sitting and/or walking. Subject to standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting objects up to 100 pounds at times. May occasionally be exposed to dangerous machinery, extreme noise and physical harm in areas requiring hard hats, safety glasses and steel-toed safety shoes. This position is classified as a safety-sensitive position and is subject to all applicable drug and alcohol testing requirements.
