Artistic Tile is seeking an experienced Stone Slab Crane Operator to join our Slab Warehouse team. This position is responsible for accurately pulling slab orders and safely receiving, moving, organizing, and preparing natural stone slabs using overhead cranes, forklifts, and clamp trucks with boom attachments. The ideal candidate has previous stone industry and warehouse experience, understands the importance of safe slab handling, and is comfortable working independently as well as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Accurately pull and stage slab orders for customers and shipments. Safely operate overhead cranes and related equipment to move and position stone slabs. Unload slabs from containers using a forklift with extended boom and clamp assembly. Receive, organize, and properly store slabs within the warehouse using forklifts and overhead cranes. Inspect and prepare slabs for shipment. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe slab warehouse for employees and customers. Follow all company safety procedures for the handling, movement, and storage of stone slabs. Assist with inventory organization and general warehouse operations as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of stone industry experience required . Minimum of 2 years of warehouse experience required . At least 2 years of experience operating overhead cranes and forklift/clamp trucks with boom attachments . High school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with stone warehouse operations and slab handling. Basic knowledge of stone fabrication and shop operations is a plus. Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and other basic technology. Good verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and proper material-handling procedures. Required equipment certifications will be arranged by Artistic Tile as necessary. Physical Requirements This is an active warehouse position. Employees must be able to safely perform the physical functions of the job, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and working around heavy stone and material-handling equipment. The position requires the ability to occasionally lift, pull, and move up to 50 pounds , with or without reasonable accommodation.
