Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a safety-focused Overhead Crane Operator to move steel coils, materials, and finished products throughout the facility using overhead crane equipment and fork lifts. The ideal candidate will have experience operating cranes in a manufacturing or warehouse environment and a strong commitment to workplace safety and previous sit down forklift experience. Responsibilities Operate overhead cranes to transport steel coils and materials safely and efficiently Load and unload materials from trucks, storage areas, and production lines Inspect cranes and lifting equipment before use Maintain proper material identification and inventory accuracy Communicate with production personnel to support workflow and production schedules Keep work area clean and organized Load and unload trucks using cranes and or forklifts Qualifications Previous overhead crane experience preferred Forklift certification preferred Manufacturing, warehouse, or steel industry experience preferred Ability to read work orders and production paperwork Strong attention to safety and detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
