Duties, Responsibilities & Other:
This position is for a directional drill foreman with a minimum of 6 years of underground experience operating a directional drill with at least 2 years of experience managing a 4-person crew. Work with construction manager for in-field project set up. Lead and direct 4-person crew to safely complete projects. Complete legible bore logs and field sketches. Select and implement appropriate maintenance of traffic signage and follow safety precautions. Identify potential safety hazards. Create a corrective action plan when safety hazards are recognized. Administer monthly safety meetings. Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications. Understand as-built drawings and roadway plans Possess leadership and mentoring skills. Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance tasks. Must have a mechanical aptitude. Experience placing underground cable a plus. Perform other duties as assigned. Valid Driver's License Ability to maintain required certifications. Pre-employment drug screening and background investigation are a condition of employment. A motor vehicle check may be required based upon position.
