Job Description
Eagle Creek Drilling Company is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator with HDD locating experience to join our team on a prevailing wage utility construction project in Escanaba, MI . What We Offer Prevailing Wage Pay (Davis-Bacon/Project Rates) Plenty of overtime available Weekly pay Company-paid lodging while working in Escanaba Long-term opportunities with a growing utility contractor Professional, safety-focused work environment Responsibilities Operate HDD drilling equipment safely and efficiently. Locate and guide drill heads using DigiTrak or similar locating systems. Read utility prints and bore plans. Perform potholing and verify existing utilities. Work around live gas, electric, water, sewer, and telecommunications utilities. Complete daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance. Work closely with the crew to complete jobs safely and on schedule. HDD operators are typically responsible for operating the drill, interpreting bore plans, using electronic locating equipment, and working safely around existing utilities. Qualifications HDD operating and/or locating experience required. Experience with DigiTrak locating systems preferred. Ability to safely drill around existing underground utilities. Valid driver's license required. CDL is a plus but not required. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety.
