Certified Well Driller (New Jersey) About the Position An established environmental services company in South Jersey is seeking to hire two Certified Well Drillers for its drilling division, the most active segment of the business. The company has more drilling projects lined up than it has drillers, including a project spanning over four months already scheduled and a brand new auger rig ready to go. The owner himself operates rigs and understands the demands of the job. These are direct hire positions with long-term potential at a company that prioritizes its field crews. Responsibilities Operate hollow stem auger, direct push, and Geoprobe rigs on environmental and geotechnical sites in New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Install, develop, and abandon monitoring wells following NJDEP standards. Collect soil, rock, and groundwater samples; record and report daily drilling data.

Maintain safe site practices:

conduct daily rig inspections, ensure utility clearance, manage traffic control, wear proper PPE, and maintain a clean work area. Keep the rig, tooling, and support truck in good working order; report any necessary repairs promptly. Lead and train a driller helper, and oversee job operations with minimal supervision. Coordinate with project managers, geologists, and clients to ensure projects stay on track. Qualifications Hold a current New Jersey well driller license issued by NJDEP. Journeyman, Master, and Monitoring Well classes are all acceptable. Have at least two years of experience operating environmental or geotechnical drill rigs. Experience with hollow stem auger and direct push rigs is essential; additional experience with mud rotary, rock coring, ATV, and track mounted rigs is advantageous. Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. CDL Class A is preferred. Preferably hold OSHA 40-hour

certification. A Delaware well driller license is a bonus and comes with a pay increase. Capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains, and able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks. Reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable leading a two-person crew. Assistant drillers with a New Jersey license who can operate a rig with minimal supervision will also be considered.
