Licensed Well Driller Mt Holly, NJ $75,000 to $97,000 per year An environmental services company in South Jersey is hiring a Licensed Well Driller for its drilling division. The company has a backlog of booked work, including a project already scheduled to run four months or more, and recently added a new auger rig to its fleet. This is a direct hire, long term position with a company that dispatches crews daily from its South Jersey yard. Schedule Full time, Monday through Friday, first shift, with overtime available. Crews are home most nights, with occasional overnight stays when a job requires it. Compensation $75,000 to $97,000 per year, based on license class and experience, plus overtime. A pay premium applies for drillers who also hold a Delaware well driller license. What You'll Do This role operates hollow stem auger, direct push and Geoprobe rigs on environmental and geotechnical sites across New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware. Responsibilities include installing, developing and abandoning monitoring wells to NJDEP standards, collecting soil, rock and groundwater samples, logging SPT blow counts, and recording and reporting daily drilling data. The driller runs a safe jobsite through daily rig inspections, utility clearance, traffic control and proper PPE, and is responsible for maintaining the rig, tooling and support truck, reporting needed repairs early. The role includes leading and training a driller helper, running jobs with minimal supervision, and coordinating with project managers, geologists and clients to keep work on schedule.
