Up to $30/hour based on experience, plus overtime opportunities About the Opportunity We are seeking a Drill Locator / Laborer to support directional drilling and underground utility installation projects throughout Texas and surrounding regions. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in utility locating, HDD operations, underground construction, telecommunications, pipeline, civil construction, or similar industries. The ideal candidate will have experience operating locating equipment such as DigiTrak, Falcon, Subsite, or similar systems and will work closely with drill operators to ensure accurate bore path alignment and safe project execution. With a strong backlog of work and multiple active projects underway, this position offers consistent hours, long-term stability, and significant overtime opportunities. What You'll DoUnderground Utility Locating & HDD Support Track and guide drill heads during HDD operations using electronic locating equipment Maintain communication with drill operators throughout drilling operations Verify utility clearances and identify underground conflicts Mark utility routes and drilling locations Monitor drilling progress and ensure project specifications are met Construction & Labor Support Assist with jobsite setup, mobilization, and demobilization Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and equipment Support conduit installation, utility placement, restoration, and cleanup activities Perform hand digging, potholing, shoveling, and general labor tasks Assist with utility and infrastructure construction projects as needed Safety & Equipment Maintenance Follow all safety procedures and jobsite requirements Inspect and maintain locating equipment, tools, and vehicles Participate in safety meetings and training Report equipment issues and jobsite concerns promptly Qualifications Required Minimum 1 year of locating experience Preferred Experience with DigiTrak, Falcon, Subsite, or similar locating equipment HDD or directional drilling experience Utility installation experience Pipeline, telecom, civil construction, or infrastructure project experience Railroad construction experience is a plus CDL is preferred but not required Compensation & Benefits $30/hour , depends on experience Consistent overtime opportunities Crews are frequently working 60+ hours per week Paid training and professional development Career advancement opportunities Strong project pipeline with ongoing work Safety-focused team environment
