Field Operations /Drilling Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and hardworking Driller's Assistant to join our field operations team. This position will support the operation of a Mobile Drill B-80 drilling rig throughout various project sites in Texas. The ideal candidate is comfortable with frequent travel, physically demanding work, and working outdoors in all weather conditions. Prior drilling or heavy equipment experience is a plus, but not required—training will be provided.Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Lead Driller in the setup, operation, and breakdown of the B-80 drilling rig Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials Handle drill pipe, casing, and other drilling components Maintain cleanliness and organization of the job site and drilling rig Operate support equipment such as pumps, air compressors, and generators Collect and label soil and rock samples as instructed Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on drilling equipment Follow safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times Travel to and from job sites across Texas, often staying overnight during multi-day projectsQualifications:
High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required) Ability to travel extensively and work extended hours Comfortable lifting 50+ lbs, working in muddy or dusty conditions, and in remote locations Mechanically inclined and able to work as part of a team Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background checkPreferred Experience:
Previous experience in geotechnical, environmental, or water well drilling Familiarity with B-80 rigs or similar mobile drilling units Basic mechanical skillsWhat We Offer:
