SNS is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Construction Laborer. SNS's Horizontal Directional Drill position falls into our underground utilities division. This is a great opportunity for a self-starter and motivated individual seeking a long-term position with opportunity for advancement. Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and energetic Contruction Laborer to join our dynamic underground construction team. Your experience in construction and/or HDD will be highly valuable to our crew. In this role, you will be instrumental in performing various tasks on commercial projects. Your enthusiasm and hands-on skills will help ensure the successful completion of projects while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities and Duties Preparing the job site by setting up traffic control, safety barriers, and equipment. Digging entry and exit pits using hand tools or assisting with excavation equipment. Loading, unloading, and organizing drill rods, tools, pipe, and materials. Mixing and handling drilling fluid (bentonite mud) used to lubricate and stabilize the bore. Connecting and disconnecting drill rods as directed by the drill operator. Assisting with pulling pipe, conduit, or cable back through the completed bore. Cleaning drilling equipment and maintaining tools and the work area. Spotting equipment and helping guide machinery safely around utilities and workers. Using hand tools such as shovels, wrenches, pipe cutters, and power tools. Helping locate and expose existing underground utilities (often called potholing). Performing manual labor in all weather conditions and on uneven terrain. Following OSHA safety procedures, wearing required PPE, and participating in safety meetings. Assisting with equipment maintenance, fueling, and daily inspections. Working with the crew to restore the work site after installation.
