POSITION OVERVIEW

The Drill Helper is a hands-on, field-based position at the heart of H2O Well Service's drilling operations. You will work side-by-side with our experienced well drillers to mobilize equipment, set up job sites, and see every project through to completion — then come home every night to enjoy everything North Idaho has to offer. This is a physical, outdoor position for someone who takes pride in doing the job right and wants to grow within a company that's been building water systems since 1976. The role provides the opportunity to be promoted from Drill Helper to fully licensed driller in the states of Washington, Idaho, and Montana, as you collect your 2,000+ required hours while working under H2O's licensed drillers. A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is

PREFERRED

but not required. Driving is limited to traveling to and from job sites — the majority of this role is working alongside the driller in the field. H2O will pay for CDL classes for the right employee.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Field Operations Assist the well driller with all phases of drilling projects, from mobilization and site setup through completion Operate and maintain drilling support equipment safely and efficiently Transport equipment and crew to and from job sites using a company vehicle (CDL required) Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work site throughout each project Support the driller in troubleshooting equipment or site conditions as needed Team & Safety Follow all company safety protocols and maintain a drug-free work environment Communicate clearly with the driller and crew to keep projects on schedule Represent H2O Well Service professionally with landowners and on job sites

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions Reliable, punctual, and committed to completing the job right Ability to commute to or relocate near Hayden, ID Preferred Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Prior experience in well drilling, construction, or heavy equipment operation Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with large equipment No prior drilling experience is required — we provide full on-the-job and paid training for the right candidate.
