Due to our growth in the Metro Milwaukee area, we are seeking a motivated Core Drill Operator to join our dynamic team! The Core Drill Operator will play a key role in sustaining our reputation for outstanding customer service by efficiently assisting with field operations. Shift Hours :
6 AM - 2:30 PM; overtime available
Starting Pay :
$24-26 hourly, commensurate with experience. A Day in the Life - Core Drill Operator Operates power tools in the warehouse and at construction sites (wet/dry coring machines, saws, threaders, etc.) Accurately and safely measure and complete hole coring with direction from the job site foreman. Receiving, storing, processing, and delivering fire protection products, materials, and equipment to construction sites. Forklift operation, loading/unloading trucks keeping materials organized and accessible. Deliver pipe and material to job sites via shop stake trucks and vans. Assist in the maintenance of warehouse vehicles and equipment. Keep the coring equipment and work van clean and organized. Cleaning and organizing the shop work environment. Follows company and job site safety policies and procedures. Travel to construction sites 20-25 %. Company vehicle provided.
Qualifications:
2 years' experience with construction-grade power tools in a warehouse/construction environment is preferred. Good mechanical troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform general maintenance on drill equipment. Organized and detail-oriented as demonstrated by accuracy and quality of work. Knowledge of industry safety practices and equipment.
Self-starter:
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexible and versatile to work outside your job's scope; willing to learn. Good communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift/move 80 - 100 lbs. of materials/products frequently (50 - 75% of the time) during a shift. Frequent (50-75% of the time) standing, walking, reaching at or below shoulder level, and bending throughout a shift. Occasional (25 -50% of the time) climbing, twisting, and reaching overhead while working with materials and equipment. Able to work at different heights via ladders, scissor lifts, or boom lifts.
Certificates/Licenses:
High School Diploma Valid driver's license; good driving record Forklift certification is a plus but not required.
