Job Summary We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Drill Helper/Laborer (BILINGUAGL SPANISH) to join our team. Reporting directly to the Driller, the Drill Helper is responsible for providing essential support for all drilling operations. The ideal candidate will be a team player who prioritizes safety and can work effectively in challenging outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities Drilling Operations Support:

Assist the Driller in all phases of the drilling process.

Equipment Handling:

Perform physically demanding tasks such as continuously pulling and adding drill rods, handling drill pipe, etc.

Site Management:

Maintain a clean and organized work area by loading and unloading equipment, materials, and supplies.

Maintenance and Repair:

Assist with routine maintenance and minor repairs of drilling equipment, vehicles, and tools. This may include completing daily pre-operation inspection checklists and lubricating parts.

Fluid Management:

Mix drilling fluids and mud additives under the direction of the Driller and ensure a consistent water source is maintained for the drilling process.

Safety and Compliance:

Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and procedures. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and actively participate in safety meetings.

General Labor:

Perform other general labor tasks as assigned, such as digging mud pits and trenches, and preparing the site for excavation.

Documentation:

Assist with basic record-keeping. Required Skills and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred. Prior experience on a drilling rig or in a related physically demanding role is a plus but not required. On-the-job training will be provided. Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, in undeveloped and remote locations. Must be able to lift, pull, and carry heavy materials and equipment (up to 50+ pounds). Strong mechanical and technical aptitude. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a small team. Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly understand and follow directions. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and be able to possess a DOT physical Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical demands assessment and drug and alcohol screening. Working Conditions This is a physically demanding job that may require long hours, weekend work, and travel to various job sites. Work is performed in a variety of outdoor environments, which can be noisy, dusty, and subject to extreme temperatures.
